In each of the eleven "old Congressional districts" one American Legion representative is appointed for the sole purpose of organizing the various local American Legion posts and taking applications for determining delegates to the Hoosier Boys' State Program.  These leaders take upon themselves the duties and responsibilities of being thus entitled District Enrollment Charimen for HBS.  This team of men consists of wholly volunteer participants, and the job is not easy.  For this service, they receive no monetary compensation.

They are rewarded, however, by recognition for a job well done and the satisfaction of being responsible for producing some of the finest young high school students in Indiana to attend the American Legion's primier program--HOOSIER BOYS STATE.

We call it a "Week to Shape a Lifetime."

A list of these leaders is at ORIENTATIONS on the Menu Bar.
